Publication Ethics
KAJIAN EKONOMI, MANAJEMEN, AKUNTANSI SYARIAH DAN KONVENSIONAL (KEMASAN)
KAJIAN EKONOMI, MANAJEMEN, AKUNTANSI SYARIAH DAN KONVENSIONAL (KEMASAN) is committed in maintaining the highest ethical standards of scientific article publication at every stage. This statement is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and scientific publication ethics general principles
1. Author Responsibilities
Authors must guarantee that:
- The submitted article is author’s original work. The article has not been previously published and not currently being reviewed in another journal.
- All sources which is used have been properly cited in accordance with scientific citation standards.
- There is no plagiarism, data fabrication, or research results manipulation
- All parties who significantly contributed to the research are listed as authors, and the authorship order is mutually agreed all together.
- The author is responsible for the article content and willing to make revisions if it is requested by the editor or reviewer.
- Any potential conflicts of interest must be openly declared.
2. Editor's Responsibilities
The editor is responsible for:
- Conducting the selection and review process for articles fairly, objectively, and free from bias.
- Maintaining the manuscripts confidentiality and the authors’ and reviewers’ identities throughout the review process.
- Avoiding the exploitation of information in unpublished manuscripts for personal gain
- Making publication decisions based on the academic quality, originality, and articles scientific contribution.
- Handling suspected violations of publication ethics transparently and in accordance with COPE procedures.
3. Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers are expected to:
- Provide objective, constructive, and on time reviews.
- Maintain the reviewed manuscripts confidentiality and not disclose information without permission.
- Do not review manuscripts in which there is a conflict of interest with the authors or their institutions.
- Provide assessments based on the scientific contribution, relevance, and clarity of the manuscript's content.
4. Publisher Responsibilities
KEMASAN publishers are obliged to:
- Ensure the publication process integrity in a professional and ethical manner.
- Provide infrastructure for a fair and transparent editorial and peer review process.
- Maintain publication records and issue corrections, retractions, or clarifications when ethical violations are discovered.
- Support efforts to prevent publication ethics violations and facilitate the ethical reporting of suspected violations.
5. Ethical Violations Prevention
KEMASAN rejects all forms of publication ethics violations, including but not limited to:
- Plagiarism, publications duplication, data fabrication, and research results manipulation.
- Multiple submissions to more than one journal simultaneously.
Any ethical violations will be handled in accordance with applicable procedures based on COPE guidelines.
6. Research Ethics Statement
Authors which are conducting research involving humans or animals must obtain ethical clearance from the relevant institution and ensure that the research is conducted in accordance with applicable research ethics principles.
7. Retraction and Correction Policy
If significant errors or ethical violations are discovered after the article publication, KEMASAN has the right to do:
- Correction for minor errors.
- Article Retraction if a serious violation of publication ethics is proven.
